Anna Marie Smith

Anna Marie is an experienced therapist working with a range of issues including relationship and marriage counselling, stress, anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss. Anna Marie has a special interest in working with individuals who experienced trauma including abuse or neglect in childhood or as an adult.

Anna Marie is a qualified childcare specialist. She also works in a supportive way with parents who are struggling with challenging behaviour in children.  Behavioural therapy techniques can provide a road-map to calmer, more consistent ways to manage problem behaviours and offers a chance parents to help their children develop the skills they need to regulate their own behaviours.

She has a broad portfolio in adult education and lifelong learning.

 Brendan Barrett M.A. in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy (UL) Diploma in Addiction Studies (TCD)

Brendan has a background in mental health nursing and is a member of the Irish Association of Accredited Addiction Counsellors. Brendan specialises in addiction counselling, depression/anxiety and relationship issues on an individual, couple and group basis.

Jim FitzGibbon Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy (2007) from the Irish Gestalt Centre

Jim FitzGibbon holds a diploma in gestalt psychotherapy awarded by the Irish Gestalt Centre in 2007, and is an accredited member of IAHIP. Other qualifications include: BSc, and a certificate awarded by IAHIP as accredited supervisor.

 

Jim is continuously dedicated to his own self discovery. This experience together with his training enables him to support clients affected by changes in their lives facilitating recovery from childhood or adult trauma.

Louise Shanagher, BA Psychology, MSc Psychology, PgCert Play Therapy

Louise Shanagher is a children’s therapist, mindfulness teacher and Psychology Lecturer from Co. Roscommon, Ireland. Louise has a BA and MSc in Psychology and further qualifications in Psychotherapy and Play therapy.

Louise is the author of two children’s books promoting positive mental health and well-being for children. Louise loves working with children and is passionate about creating a happier and healthier world for them to grow up in. Her mission is to promote and nurture positive mental health for children while equipping them with valuable self care tools that will last a life time.
